Commissioning Engineer - Electrical

Manage electrical commissioning, testing, documentation, and client liaison for building projects.

Tasks

-Manage the commissioning process: -Working closely with general contractor’s team in developing commissioning strategies and processes which align fully with project objectives. -Arranging third party sign off as necessary. -Recording of detailed progress pre-requisites. -Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests. -Attending project and internal meetings as needed. -Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals and technical submittals. -Providing technical advice to clients in respect of project and operational risk. -Managing detailed recording of meetings. -Undertaking and reporting of inspections and tests. -Developing commissioning implementation plan, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts. -Providing routine progress reporting and final project close out report. -Routine population and management of data in project commissioning software. -Reviewing technical papers/reports before publication. -Review and development of Commissioning documentation for Australia.

What You Bring

-Must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot HVAC, TAB, and Controls and have excellent report writing skills -Proven ability to lead commissioning efforts from design through project completion -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite -Must have a solid understanding of operational requirements, safety requirements, code inspections and maintenance considerations -Should have a passion for sustainability and knowledge of the commissioning process and experience with design, installation and operation of building systems (including but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and controls) -4 years of industry experience dealing with mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines -Valid driver's license -Demonstrated experience in commissioning or facility engineering, preferably working in Data Centre sector, -Must be willing to travel to site-based locations as reasonably based on HDR needs -Multitasking ability -Technical knowledge of MEP systems and HVAC expertise -Experience with Factory Witness Test / Factory Acceptance Tests. -Experience with equipment inspections, -Strong written, verbal communication and time management skills; exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to interact with people at all levels
