Assist in setting and placement of forms to proper elevations and location, prepare the base and install proper reinforcing.
May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.
Follow all state, company, client, OSHA, and federal guidelines regarding health and safety.
When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.

Each employee is to practice and maintain good “House Keeping” by cleaning up their work area and jobsite after each task.
Assist in the marking, cutting, and assembly lines on materials. Assists in Shaping materials to prescribed measurements and assemble, fasten with nails, dowel pins or glue.
Be able to assist in placing/tying rebar.
Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.
Read and interpret measuring tools such as, tape measure, speed square, framing square…etc. In order to perform task accurately.
Be able to assist in placing and finishing concrete.

Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
Minimum 6 months of experience in carpenter helper role
6 months - 1-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
See well (either naturally or with correction).
Fully Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates
Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
Able to assist in general Carpentry tasks, such as, but not limited to: build and install barricades, decks, shelves, and any other misc. Site needs and duties that may come up.
Hear well (either naturally or with correction.)
Experience and/or exposure in setting and erecting forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems for vertical and Horizontal concrete forming.
Be able to perform duties in a safe manner.
Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
