Process Engineer

Description

I am looking for an Operations Process Engineer to support and optimize material flow between the central warehouse and production operations. This is a hands-on, floor-facing role that combines process engineering, logistics operations, and data analysis to ensure accurate, efficient, and just-in-time (JIT) movement of materials.

You will map workflows, analyze inbound/outbound logistics data, support kitting and consolidated material requests, and partner with operations and warehouse teams to improve physical and digital processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both process design and operational execution, and who thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments.

• Utilize SAP S/4HANA EWM for material transactions, outbound requests, and inventory visibility (no heavy configuration required)
• Identify bottlenecks and develop solutions for improving productivity, accuracy, and flow
• Partner with SAP support teams to troubleshoot and improve process execution within the system
• Hands-on involvement with physical flow and digital data systems
• Support future-state design initiatives for next year’s operational enhancements
• Promote best practices in safety, quality, and GMP standards
• Support just-in-time material staging, inbound receiving, and outbound shipping workflows
• Analyze logistics, shipping, and material usage data using Excel and Power BI
• Ensure materials meet storage conditions (including temperature-controlled items) and flow correctly through each process step
• Develop standardized methods for kitting, consolidated orders, and warehouse-to-floor transfers
• Observe physical product movement on the production floor to identify inefficiencies
• Review BOM-related data and warehouse reporting
• Map, analyze, and improve material flow processes between warehouse and production nodes
• Work directly with warehouse, supply chain, and production teams to resolve issues and improve daily operations
• Review existing SOPs, workflows, and documentation for consistency and accuracy (no authoring of risk assessments)

Requirements

Manufacturing / Pharma / Food / GMP (preferred)

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or GMP-regulated environments
• No degree required — skills and operational mindset matter most
• Power BI experience
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA EWM (execution-level use)
• Background in operations, logistics, supply chain, material flow, or process engineering
• Strong Excel skills; comfort with data analysis and reporting
• Experience with process documentation or operational readiness
• Ability to work hands-on on the production floor
• Previous involvement in JIT, warehouse, or kitting workflows
• Experience mapping processes and improving workflows
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field is preferred
