The Vendor Relations Manager oversees strategic vendor partnerships and compliance programs, maintaining a centralized vendor database and managing contracts at both site and corporate levels. This role builds strong vendor relationships, conducts regular audits, supports strategic procurement initiatives, and collaborates cross‑functionally to enhance service delivery and minimize risk. Flexibility is expected to take on tasks outside the defined scope as the company grows.
- Oversee and maintain the Compass intranet procurement page with up‑to‑date vendor information
- Administer vendor risk management and compliance programs to meet company standards and regulations
- Manage vendor contracts at site and corporate levels using approved software for consistency and efficiency
- Develop and implement a standardized escalation process for delinquent invoices
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with existing vendors while identifying new partner opportunities
- Communicate vendor performance insights and recommended actions to internal leadership
- Assist Senior Director of Procurement with strategic initiatives, program development, and process optimization
- Establish, track, and refine KPIs to measure vendor performance, service quality, and value
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and audits to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Evaluate and continuously improve current processes and support special projects as needed

A high school diploma is required, with a BA/BS degree preferred, and experience in multi‑site property management and residential operations is valued. Candidates should be proficient with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and property‑management software such as Entrata, Yardi, or OneSite.
Physical demands include lifting 20 lb independently (or 50 lb with assistance), frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, and occasional keyboard work.
