Stationary Engineer - Part-time

Description

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of systems and equipment.
• Conduct preventative and general maintenance on schedule.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems.
• Assist and support subcontractors during installation or repair tasks.
• Interface with building managers and customer representatives to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete and distribute system status reports as directed.
• Run ductwork and mount equipment according to specifications.
• Place or remove systems and equipment as needed.
• Purchase materials, maintain inventory, and ensure timely work completion.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, and security systems and associated hardware.
• Perform predictive maintenance to prevent breakdowns or outages.
• Accurately document work on tickets or work orders.

Requirements

Complete Building Services (CBS) is looking for a part‑time Stationary Engineer to work at a facility in Manassas, Virginia. The position requires five years of experience and an active MD 1st or DC 3rd Class Stationary Engineer license. Work hours are Sunday through Tuesday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Candidates must be able to pass a U.S. Capitol Police background check and have at least five years of experience as a lead engineer in a comparable building, as well as five to eight years operating, maintaining, and installing mechanical equipment.
