Custodian Part Time

Description

The Custodian (Part Time) works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor to perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services, following established standards, instructions, and procedures.

• Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors and other surfaces.
• Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean daily and shampoo as directed.
• Dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces; perform periodic high dusting.
• Wash interior windowsills, glass in doors, partitions, and specified windows; clean entrance‑door glass and trim.
• Spot‑clean interior walls daily as appropriate.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, including wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and scrubbing floors.
• Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers, and replace liners per specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and connecting sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing.
• Follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team.
• Use cleaning tools and equipment, including a backpack‑style portable vacuum.
