Pull wire through conduits, walls and ceiling spaces.
Perform tasks with minimal supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and procedures
Splice, join and connect wire to components to form complete control systems
Troubleshooting, analyzing, repairs, reconditioning and re-installing electrical equipment including HVAC, refrigeration systems and various BAS applications.
Developing and managing work orders, logs, and other documentation accurately and on time
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installations
Cut, bend, thread and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Performing new installations and repair work on electrical equipment and wiring
Reporting on and recommending improvements to electrical and mechanical equipment
Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.

Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
Journeyman Electrician with Commercial experience (5+ years)
Excellent command of the English Language, both written and oral
Commercial/Construction installations experience
Ability to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematics
Must be able to obtain and pass security clearances once hired.
Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology and the Canadian Electrical Code
Experience with Fire Alarms is an asset
Strong attention to detail, ability to execute precision work
Strong work ethic and communication skills.
Experience working with electrical and electronic testing equipment
