Make sure projects and all construction resources are within the allowed scheduled and budget
Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects.
Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England Independent System Operator
Maintain Safety Awareness and ensure all contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site
Execute work orders and inspections
Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers.
Diligently ensure compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and identifying potential hazards to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
Work with Construction Managers managing the construction of electric substations, distribution lines, generation upgrades, and other projects
Perform QA/QC and Program Management duties as directed by the client.
Establish and Manage construction materials and review material plans
Supervise contractors and make sure projects are being completed correctly
Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging open communication, reporting unsafe conditions, and suggesting improvements to safety practices.

Capable of moderate to extensive travel, with some overnight stays, to various locations within RGE/NYSEG franchise area.
Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences both in writing and verbally. Ability to interact effectively with other groups within the Company organization.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management
Able to physically walk distribution lines or remote transmission right of ways.
Extensive knowledge of electric utility industry materials and equipment is a must.
Basic knowledge of various electric utility assets and equipment.
Must be a resident of New York or able to relocate to the New York area
Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver’s License in good standing
Two (2) years of college is preferred
Able to assess the health of Utility assets and equipment as they relate to the utility inspection program.
Must have extensive knowledge in construction and maintenance of Utility equipment, including but not limited to transmission and distribution systems, underground networks, and substations.
Good working knowledge through actual use of MS Office products including Excel, Access, Word and MS Project.
Experience in interaction with contractors and assessing their work.
Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
