Are you a skilled electrician passionate about renewable energy and troubleshooting complex systems? Energy Support Services, a subsidiary of New Energy Equity, is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician Level 2 to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of its solar projects. - Operate safely in 600 V AC and 1500 V DC environments without direct supervision.
- Travel on short notice and be available for non‑traditional working hours.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; degree or technical certification in a related electrical field preferred.
- NABCEP PV Installer Specialist or PV Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist certification preferred.
- Journeyman or Master electrician license preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience operating and maintaining electrical systems.
- Experience with power generation and solar technologies.
- Valid driver’s license and OSHA 10‑Hour certification required; OSHA 30‑Hour strongly preferred.
- Based in St. Cloud, MN and willing to travel daily with a company‑provided vehicle.
- Experienced with electrical systems and solar photovoltaics.
- Comfortable operating in low‑voltage, non‑hazardous situations without supervision.
- Knowledge of I/V curve‑tracing software and thermographic analysis preferred.
- Proficient with isolation diagnostics equipment (e.g., Megger, isolation testers).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
- Detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong time‑management skills.
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems.
- Confident and safe vehicle operation.
- Stand for long periods and walk up to three miles daily.
- Adequate visual acuity for depth perception and color distinction.
- Exert up to 50 lb occasionally, up to 30 lb frequently, and up to 10 lb constantly to move objects.
Benefits
The position offers an annual compensation range of $75,000‑$95,000, reflecting base pay plus potential incentive opportunities.
