The Maintenance Assistant supports residents by ensuring quality move‑ins, resident satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention, helping Cushman & Wakefield deliver superior customer service.
Key duties include preparing market‑ready apartments through painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and minor repairs; responding promptly to resident requests; performing routine maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, and snow removal; and maintaining grounds, pools, hot tubs, and dog park amenities. The role also involves reporting maintenance concerns on vacant units and common areas, following fair‑housing laws, attending required training, adhering to appearance standards, and safeguarding company tools and equipment.
Competencies required are the ability to read manuals and policies, write routine reports, apply common sense to instructions, solve routine problems, hold a valid driver’s license, and perform basic mathematical calculations while following all safety policies.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma, GED, or trade/technical education, along with related experience, and hold an EPA 608 Type II, CPO, or local certification as required.
The position operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment, with regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical demands include frequent walking, climbing stairs, standing or sitting for up to 85% of the time, and the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 50 lb regularly.
