Manage procurement, negotiate with vendors, place orders, and ensure inventory for manufacturing

Tasks

-Assist with production scheduling forecasting -Expedite deliveries when necessary, and/or resolve shortages. -Measure vendor performance based on delivery and quality. -Negotiate price, quality, and delivery with numerous local and international vendors. -Place purchase orders with domestic and/or international vendors, taking into account necessary conditions for cost, quality, and delivery (lead times). -Help plant maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure production as needed parts. -Return substandard parts for credit.

What You Bring

-3-5 years prior work experience in procurement or purchasing preferably within manufacturing industry. -Strong computer skills -Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions. -Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships. -Experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. -Demonstrates strong professional Procurement competencies, including integrity, accountability, communication skills and commitment to teamwork. -Experience with inventory management & production scheduling forecasting. -Familiarity with sourcing and supplier management.
