The Technical Writer will create and maintain a variety of documentation for business audiences and end‑users, including process guides, job aids, knowledge articles, e‑learning courseware, training materials, and visual process diagrams. They will also manage the IS Knowledge Base and Documentation Library, ensure compliance with standards and style guides, collaborate with another writer, edit content from non‑writers, and work closely with subject‑matter experts across functions.

• Develop new technical process documentation from intake through publishing.
• Create job aids and knowledge articles in ServiceNow.
• Build HTML knowledge bases using MadCap Flare.
• Produce SCORM courseware with iSpring for end‑user training.
• Generate training collateral and presentation decks.
• Design process flow diagrams in Visio.

• Collaborate with the fellow technical writer to align communication plans.

Requirements

We are currently seeking a Technical Writer to support Martin Marietta's technical documentation, IS knowledge base management and maintenance, and assorted process documentation development. The position sits within the Information Services department and requires a writing‑intensive academic background.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a writing‑focused field, have at least three years of technical writing experience—preferably in an IS or corporate environment—and demonstrate strong writing, editing, and detail‑orientation. Proficiency in MS Office, MadCap Flare, iSpring, ServiceNow and related tools, as well as the ability to learn complex subjects, work independently, and stay organized, is required.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communications, or a related writing‑intensive discipline.
• Possess 3+ years of technical writing experience, ideally within IS or corporate settings.
• Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and deadline adherence.
• Quickly learn complex subject matter while handling multiple projects.
• Work independently and collaboratively, suited to a small tech‑writing team.
• Expert use of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel).
• Experience with MadCap Flare, iSpring eLearning Suite, Snag‑it, Adobe Creative Cloud, and ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with HTML or XML editing tools (preferred).
• Knowledge of technical writing best practices, reusable content, and SME collaboration.
• Self‑motivated and highly organized.
