- Develop and implement commercial best practice to maximise value (in line with all contractual entitlements), minimise risk and cost to Amey and deliver exemplar service to the customer.
- Responsible for the execution, management, extension and close of all contract Bond and PCG requirements
- Implement and drive consistency of commercial processes both pre and post contract
- Support the handover and mobilisation of key contracts commercially to ensure the tender strategies are understood in delivery and the associated commercial processes and approach implemented.
- Lead or provide commercial support to the business stream to implement commercial strategies that deliver winning bids, achieve good p/l results with sustainable cash flows, managed risk and opportunity across a portfolio of Contracts
- Deliver pre and post contract opportunity and risk management using the businesses risk management tools
- Support the Bid Director and the business stream in winning strategic bids by the development of the right commercial solutions which cascade into post contract delivery.
- Ensure that all Contracts/Internal Trading Agreements are fully executed, and stored in a central repository
- Delivery and accountability for the commercial reporting requirements, accurate cost planning, financial control, CVR reporting, budgeting and WIP management, ensuring strong relationships with Finance and Operational functions

- Experience with NEC contracts
- A quantity surveying, commercial or related profession, degree or master’s degree
- Experience in Facilities Management
- Adherence to company policies and processes, and those associated with Revenue Recognition and to ensure that all necessary governance is complied with (Amey General Authorities Schedule).
- Over 5 years' experience in a Commercial Manager role
- Experience in leading diverse teams
