Completes and files documentation necessary to justify billing
Communicates job progress to supervisor and customers as needed
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Frequently lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 70 lbs.
Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs
Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training
Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
Frequently works outdoors around moving mechanical parts and exposed to weather extremes that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testing
Performs engine and related equipment repairs on Trucks and Trailers
Communicates with customers, service managers, and co-workers
Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment
Responds to customer needs after hours when needed
Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins
Travels to and from the job site for repairs and to retrieve parts
Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Troubleshoot and make repairs to Med-HD Trucks
Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns
Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicles in a good, clean, and working order
Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming engines
Orders parts needed to complete repairs and travels to pick-up
Listens and understands customer complaints, quotes and explains repair costs, and schedules appointments with customers while providing clear communications

Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity

Travel up to 40% and overnight travel may be required
Exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
Excellent time management and organizational skills
High school diploma or equivalent, accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program required
Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands in order to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
Verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and On-Highway Truck electronic systems diagnostic tooling
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair
ASE Certifications preferred
Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
Operation and control skills of On-Highway Trucks & Trailers
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Be able to maneuver safely and work underneath equipment
Works in an enclosed vehicle or equipment
Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water and high speed rotating equipment
At least two years of experience required, three or more preferred
CDL – Class A or B required
Significant amount of time sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, climbing, and reaching
Exceptional skills in customer service
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
Exposure to hazardous conditions and contaminants
Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated
General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Ability to operate an On-Highway Truck on public roads
Ability to complete HOLT's VBL Classes, model HOLT's VBL Culture, and successfully apply the tools
