What you would be doing

Participate in daily cleaning ofthe dining room and service stations
Set up tables with items needed for service (i.e., flatware, drinkware, condiments, linens, etc.
Attend monthly department meetings and daily standups
Ensure guest tables are properly set up during the meal period, making sure appropriate flatware and drinkware are placed
Bus tables quickly and quietly, ensuring the table is thoroughly cleaned
Serve guests in an efficient and courteous manner, following the proper steps of service
Manage differing personalities within the property, the resort, and the community
Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines
Upsell menu items to guests, as well as pair wine with the meal
Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality

Previous experience in hospitality, preferably as a server

Follow cash handling procedures, and be able to explain shortages and overages
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Maintain knowledge of current menu items, including ingredients, preparation, accompaniments, and sauces

Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets, iPads, computers, and POS systems
Proven experience in describing dishes and beverages to guests
Able to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
Ability to work long hours as needed
Ability to lift, pull 50 lbs
High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
