Health and Safety Supervisor [HR-14655]

Description

• Assist with jobsite orientations for new personnel and contribute to incident investigations and case management as needed.
• Perform daily field walks to evaluate safety program effectiveness and coach teams on improvement opportunities.
• Conduct frequent work area assessments, safety audits, and jobsite inspections with emphasis on hazard recognition and proactive risk mitigation.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and support compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Coordinate and facilitate safety meetings to support clear communication and alignment among project teams.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs that support workforce readiness and reinforce safe work practices.
• Provide constructive safety feedback to project leadership and recognize safe behaviors across the workforce.
• Lead and manage project safety initiatives, driving accident prevention and maintaining compliance with company standards.
• Partner with field staff to develop corrective action plans addressing safety concerns and promote continuous improvement.
• Review and support Job Hazard Analyses for major phases of work; collaborate with supervisory personnel to ensure accurate and effective documentation.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to positively influence safe work practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• High school diploma required; 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• OSHA 30 Construction required.
• Safety Trained Supervisor- Construction (STS-C) Certificate or higher required.
• Experience working with a union workforce strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience, preferably on large-scale or technical projects.
