This is a pivotal leadership role within our Compliance Management team, where you’ll be responsible and accountable for all legislative gas compliance works carried out in our customers’ homes. You’ll also be a key contributor to organisational change, helping to modernise and improve gas-related processes and systems across the business.

  • Provide strategic leadership as the Principal Duty Holder, ensuring effective oversight of gas compliance works, driving excellence in safety, quality, and regulatory adherence.
  • Oversee contractor partnerships within Thirteen’s frameworks, ensuring high performance, value for money, and alignment with organisational goals while prioritising customer and staff safety.
  • Champion service transformation by identifying opportunities to modernise processes, enhance customer experience, and embed best practice.
  • Influence strategic decision-making by providing expert insights into gas compliance, risk management, and service optimisation.
  • Inspire and lead a dedicated team of 5 direct reports and over 60 colleagues, bringing a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellent service delivery in gas repairs and servicing.
  • Strategically guide the planning and delivery of mechanical works and gas servicing programmes, ensuring alignment with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and contributing to Thirteen’s broader strategic objectives.

  • A degree or HNC in a property-related field or equivalent professional qualification is desirable, but your relevant experience is what truly sets you apart.
  • You bring proven expertise in shaping and delivering strategic, customer-focused services, with a skill for translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, impactful solutions.
  • You’re great at managing health and safety at a senior level, with a strong track record in risk mitigation, developing safe working practices, and producing comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Ideally, you’ve played a key role in organisational change, driving service modernisation, enhancing performance, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • As a confident leader, you excel at inspiring high-performing teams, pushing for a compliance-driven culture, and developing talent to achieve exceptional results.
  • Your exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills enable you to influence diverse audiences, from contractors to board directors, while building trust with customers.
  • Your in-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations and compliance management is second to none.
