Description

The Boiler Technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of one or more high‑temperature water boilers that support critical operations at the installation. The role ensures efficient boiler performance, compliance with safety standards, and overall reliability of the heating systems. Compensation is $38.26 per hour plus $4.93 per hour in fringe benefits toward insurance and 401(k).

• Install, maintain, and repair boiler systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, lubricating, and monitor gauges and meters.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, document boiler malfunctions, and provide emergency repairs.
• Adjust controls to optimize performance and assist in energy audits.
• Train and supervise junior technicians.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, possess at least five years of boiler maintenance experience, and have technical training or certification in boiler systems. A valid driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check are required. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lb, working in confined spaces, and operating in varied indoor and outdoor temperatures.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in circulation pumps and building controls.
• Excellent troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and safety compliance skills.
• High school diploma/equivalent, 5+ years boiler maintenance experience, and relevant certification or apprenticeship.
• Valid driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and ability to pass drug screening and background check.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb, work in confined spaces, and handle indoor/outdoor conditions.
