Senior Document Controller

Description

• Assist with managing projects within WSP’s project directory.
• Create and support innovation.
• Proactively influences Health and Safety (Safety by Design)
• Remain up to date with market and competitor knowledge.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that all documentation is processed as per the project schedule
• Be responsible for the quality of technical outputs to WSP standards including any specific client standards.
• Assist with various ‘file’ compilations as well as the preparation of ‘packages’ for squad check, clients, vendors and/or construction.
• Use appropriate tools and systems when sending or receiving vendor and engineering documents. Ensure all drawings, manuals, and transmittals are accurately logged.
• Maintain strong colleague relationships and contribute to the teams’ performance of client satisfaction.
• Deliver successful commercial performance by clearly understanding and monitoring the area of work and ensure agreed targets are met.
• Know and understand the company organization as applicable to the project
• Champion and mentor others in use of agreed systems and processes.
• Develop knowledgebase and self-confidence to gain the support and respect of others.
• Assist Project Managers with Project Closeouts. Appropriately archive all pertinent documentation per Archive and Project Closeout procedures and checklists.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing in internal and external forums.
• Explore ways to add value and improve personal and team performance.
• Know, understand and comply with all Client, National Business Line, and Corporate procedures
• Manage opportunities, risks and project changes / variations so that these deliver advantage to the business.

Requirements

• Should have 8-13 years’ experience.
• Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
• Accountable, committed, and dependable when completing assigned projects.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Arts/Commerce/Science or equivalent.
• Expected to work with all levels of the organization in a cohesive manner.
• Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 8+ years of experience in a consulting firm in complementary industries like oil & gas, Power, Mining using DC softwares.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
