The application deadline is 22 January 2026. We are looking for a Conversion Rate Optimisation Manager to join the National Rail team on a 9‑12 month maternity‑cover contract. The role will be responsible for analysing and maximising conversion rates across web and app platforms to drive revenue growth and improve the user experience.
The position is divided into two pillars. The first pillar focuses on managing and delivering optimisation plans, working closely with design, development and product teams to enhance the user experience, eliminate conversion pain points, and ensure consistent branding, messaging and UI elements.
A key part of the first pillar is to design and run A/B tests, multivariate experiments and other testing methodologies to validate hypotheses and increase conversion rates.
The second pillar centres on data analysis and reporting. It involves leveraging insights from user research, heatmaps, usability testing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, analysing funnel performance, producing regular reports and actionable insights, and monitoring industry trends and competitor activity for optimisation opportunities.
Essential qualifications include at least three years of experience in digital product management, digital marketing or e‑commerce with a CRO focus, proficiency with web analytics and CRO tools, strong analytical ability, hands‑on experience with A/B and multivariate testing, excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, and solid knowledge of web design fundamentals, UX/UI best practices and usability testing.
Desirable skills are familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, experience with a tag‑management solution such as Google Tag Manager, and knowledge of tools like JIRA and Miro.
