Level 3, 4 or 5 qualification in an appropriate subject, i.e. a Level 3 Diploma, HNC, HND or a foundation degree
Engineering Technician (EngTech) status already held or to be gained whilst in the role
Able to demonstrate basic technical and professional skills within the relevant technical discipline, probably gained during higher education and possibly supplemented by a period of industrial placement or vacation work or through successful completion of a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship
Vocational qualifications and competencies as determined by the requirements of the role, e.g. Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS), Network Rail STE competency, Personal Track Safety (PTS), Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA), Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA), confined spaces, asbestos awareness, working at height etc
