The role requires painting in booths, on the floor, or on products using ladders and scaffolds, both indoors and outdoors. Tasks include interpreting drawings and specifications, preparing surfaces, mixing paint to the correct viscosity, erecting canvas shelters, spraying primers and coatings, inspecting finish quality, and maintaining spray equipment.
Required qualifications include 1–2 years of industrial or automotive painting experience, ability to perform moderate physical effort, adherence to safety precautions, and tolerance for exposure to paint fumes and other disagreeable conditions. Preferred qualifications are experience with MIL‑Specs and basic math and reading skills for process sheets.
Compensation is $28.80 per hour plus a $0.70 second‑shift differential, increasing to $30.32 after twelve months. The schedule is the second shift (3 pm – 11:30 pm). Benefits begin on the first day, relocation assistance may be available, and the position is union‑represented.
