Network Administrator - Hybrid (New York City)

Description

• Ensure proper functioning of the network
• Design and organize network infrastructure
• Assist with general IT support
• Perform network maintenance and updates
• Designing, implementing and troubleshooting LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructure
• Manage relationship with ISP/external networking vendors
• Networking hardware inventory and documentation
• Analysis and monitoring tools such as WireShark, LanSweeper, PRTG, etc.
• Troubleshooting and support
• Responsible for network security and access control
• Support for enterprise systems planning/rollouts
• Training other IT staff in particular network support tasks

Requirements

• Experience required in the following:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Dynamic routing and switching such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.
• Strong technical aptitude in the OSI model
• Strong understanding of security concepts
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong vendor management and negotiating skills
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration
• Experience with Arctic Wolf and Dark Trace is a plus
• Prior work experience in help desk support or systems administration a plus
• Cisco, Dell, Ubiquiti, and Sonicwall network technologies including, but not limited to routing, switching, wireless and VoIP
• Previous experience in healthcare industry preferred
