As a Principal, Electrical Engineering at Introba, you will be a visionary leader helping shape the future of sustainable infrastructure across BC and Western Canada. You will lead a high-performing team delivering mission-driven projects in education, healthcare, science & tech, and civic sectors—while contributing to innovation, mentorship, and meaningful client relationships.
You will initially integrate with an established team of electrical designers and engineers, ranging from Junior Designer to Senior Principal.
- Serve as principal liaison for key clients and high-profile projects.
- Develop and secure new project opportunities in both core and emerging sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a growing team of electrical engineers and designers.
- Oversee team hiring, training, retention, compensation, and career progression.
- Resolve client issues and lead contract negotiations as needed.
- Provide oversight on technical quality and delivery for all electrical systems.
- Guide teams through procurement strategies and cost management.
- Set and manage project budgets, team revenue targets, and labour forecasts.
- Support and promote Introba's full multidisciplinary service offering.
- Monitor financial and operational metrics (e.g. WIP, write-downs, productivity).
- Oversee construction contract administration and field reviews.
- Establish performance plans and KPIs (e.g. DLM, chargeability, technical quality).
- Ensure project plans and progress are maintained in Deltek (Introba's PM system).
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Promote technical innovation in smart building systems, energy optimization, and sustainability.
- Maintain team compliance with Introba’s QA/QC and best practices.

- Proven team leadership experience with at least 5 direct reports
- Experience with telecommunications, security systems, and emerging smart building technologies
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 15+ years of electrical design experience, including major institutional and healthcare projects
- Operational Compliance: AR DSO ≤75 days; 90%+ of projects updated monthly in Deltek
- LEED AP and/or Passive House certification preferred
- Strong community or industry presence through conferences, white papers, or pro bono leadership

Introba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $170,000 - $200,000 annually for this position and local market.
