Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

• Perform full‑cycle accounts payable for multiple entities and currencies.
• Enter, code, and pay vendor invoices accurately and on time.
• Reconcile corporate credit‑card transactions and oversee monthly reconciliations.
• Administer the purchase‑card program, ensuring policy compliance and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations, tax reporting, and internal AP policies.
• Support month‑end close and audit processes with clear documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline AP workflows.

Requirements

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast‑paced, collaborative team. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, possesses a strong grasp of full‑cycle AP, and can confidently manage multi‑entity and multi‑currency processes while exercising sound judgment and adhering to IRS and internal guidelines.

• Minimum 3 years full‑cycle AP experience in a multi‑entity, cross‑currency environment.
• Strong understanding of AP best practices, IRS regulations, and corporate compliance.
• Experience with credit‑card reconciliations and p‑card administration.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Sage.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Nice to have: experience in oil and gas, familiarity with international vendors or global payments, strong ownership and accountability.
