The technician will review aerial LiDAR point‑cloud classifications for accuracy and manually classify or filter the data as needed. They will also collect and edit line work for hydrographic feature datasets and handle repetitive, computer‑based tasks on a daily basis.
Merrick & Company is seeking a full‑time LiDAR/GIS Technician for its Greenwood Village, CO office. The role involves processing airborne LiDAR data from start to finish, including filtering anomalies, identifying data inconsistencies, and placing break‑lines to improve digital terrain models per project specifications. Candidates must demonstrate strong dedication to quality and efficiency. Compensation ranges from $20‑$22 per hour and a hybrid schedule may be available.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED; an associate’s degree is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should possess GIS knowledge and familiarity with photogrammetry, flight planning, data management, geodesy principles, orthophoto production, and cartographic design. Experience with software such such as Bentley, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or TerraSolid is a plus.
