The engineer will participate in, and eventually lead, quality assurance audits and will work with project teams on problem identification, resolution, procurement support, and self‑assessment activities. They will also assist in developing and executing project quality plans.
Additional duties include supporting the Quality Assurance Manager with employee training, controlling purchased items and services, verifying corrective actions, conducting data analysis and trending, and performing root‑cause analysis. The focus is on engineering, design, and consulting activities, with approximately 10‑15% travel for audits, surveillance, and inspections.
Candidates must be eligible to access U.S. export‑controlled information and are not eligible for sponsorship. Essential qualifications are a BS or MS from a Canadian CEAB‑accredited or U.S. ABET‑accredited engineering program, proficiency with MS Office, strong verbal and written communication, and strong analytical reasoning. Valued but not required skills include experience in the nuclear or other regulated industries, knowledge of CSA, NQA, and ISO standards, NQA‑1 Audit Team Leader certification, prior QA Manager experience, and a P.Eng licence.
