Plan and supervise tests to validate simulation models, including but not limited to strain gage, tensile, shaker vibration, and structural dynamic tests as well as field tests.
Support the advancement and growth of the Applied Mechanics Engineering Team in the areas of modeling, simulation, instrumentation, and lab testing. The scope encompasses technology in both computational and test, developing tools and methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and in pursuit of advanced degree in engineering is required.
Experience in performing applied mechanics simulation and test is required.
Strong prior experience in Matlab and Excel is required.
On-Site (5 days)
Familiar with computational models and test for structural reliability.
Familiar with machine learning & artificial intelligence.
Experience in accelerated life test, for both metals and non-metals is required.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills are required.
Formal coursework in structural dynamics/mechanics, advanced mechanics of materials, digital signal processing is required.
Experience with structural data acquisition systems, both hardware and software, as well as mechanical strain measurement is required. Prior experience in Siemens Test.Lab is preferred.
