Interpret Blueprints, Manuals, Schematics, and Procedures

• Source, select, and order replacement materials and parts for equipment
• Perform calculations and risk assessments
• Size and install motors and motor controls
• Commercial building infrastructure powerMechanical control of make up air systems (MUAs) and heat recovery ventilators (HRVs)Line and control power for fabrication shop equipment such as band saws, drill presses, welders, and plasma cutters
• Adhere to internal and client working procedures
• Collaborate with other trades and companies on larger, more complex equipment and systems

• Provide on-site maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment to prevent project delays
• Install various electrical devicesPanel boards, distribution centers, and load centersTransformers, filters, and neutral grounding resistors (NGRs)Mechanical equipment such as exhaust fans, louvers, and pumps
• Mechanical control of make up air systems (MUAs) and heat recovery ventilators (HRVs)
• Perform wiring and circuit distribution for commercial and industrial buildings/facilities
• Install electrical infrastructureConduit, cable tray, wireways, and trenchesArmored cable and bussing
• Test the condition of electrical material and equipment
• Test the insulation of electrical conductors (both medium and high voltage)
• Line and control power for fabrication shop equipment such as band saws, drill presses, welders, and plasma cutters
• Perform high-voltage cable installation, termination, and splicing
• Implement preventative maintenance programs
• Follow blueprint plans at all project stages, including architectural, mechanical, and one-line diagrams

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License is required
• Ability to safely lift heavy tools, equipment, and parts up to 50 lbs
• Mechanical equipment such as exhaust fans, louvers, and pumps
• Strong math skills
• Initial work scope projected to be minimum 8 months; potential for continued employment/work placements after project completion
• Willingness to work at heights, outdoors, and underground (mine sites)
• Ability to work overhead and in awkward positions
• Conduit, cable tray, wireways, and trenches
• Experience with any mechanical or carpentry capacity is considered an asset
• Armored cable and bussing
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Licensed Red Seal Electrician
• Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously
• Excellent time-management skills; ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
