The Contract Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for a full range of contract functions and responsibilities for our Infrastructure Solutions Platform with customers primarily in the CIPP industry worldwide. This position requires close collaboration across numerous departments, including business development, operations, finance, treasury, and legal. The role reads and understands contract documents as directed by the project manager to ensure compliance with submittals, on‑time payment, change orders, close‑out, and retention requirements. It provides pre‑construction documentation and assists in preparing communication and Change Management Plans, identifies and tracks key submittals, notifications, permits, and other contractual requirements throughout all project phases, and determines whether contract documents meet company standards, drafting and negotiating revisions with customers and subcontractors. Other duties are assigned by management.
Qualifications include a BS/BA degree (paralegal certificate preferred) and a minimum of three years' experience reviewing construction or other contract documents. Candidates must have experience negotiating contract terms, working with prime contracts and subcontracts, and preferably experience with bid packages, sureties, and insurance brokers. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, the ability to multitask, take initiative, and manage time effectively are essential. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to conflicting deadlines and priorities are also required.
