Repair and maintain Caterpillar heavy equipment in shop/field.

Tasks

-Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in either a shop or field environment (possibility of remote locations) -Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements -Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed. -Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment -Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required

What You Bring

-Engine and/or component rebuilding experience is beneficial -Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience -A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable -Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr) required for field roles -5x2 or 7x7 Shifts -Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification -CAT dealer training -Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset -Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are considered assets -Demonstrated field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar equipment is required for field based positions

-Employee Share Purchase Plan options -Continuous shift: $3.50/hr -Continuous Shifts; additional scheduled weeks off -Boot and Tool Allowance -Night shift: $3.50/hr -Field: $2.25/hr -Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement. -Hourly Premiums available: -$50.68 - $55.50 / hour -Overtime & Double Time hours available -Paid breaks, vacation and sick time -RRSP and Retirement Plan Options
