The Business Development Manager – Automotive Electronics will spearhead global growth strategies within the automotive electronics segment, partnering with OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers to deliver differentiated adhesive solutions for control units, in‑vehicle infotainment, ADAS and related applications. The role is charged with expanding revenue from roughly $12 M to $35 M over five years by leveraging technical leadership and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Develop and execute global business strategies to achieve double‑digit growth and reach $35 M revenue within five years.
- Conduct market, customer and competitive analyses to identify high‑growth regions and automotive electronics applications, including control units, IVI and ADAS.
- Allocate approximately 60 % of time to prospecting and acquiring new OEM and Tier‑1 customers.
- Provide integrated adhesive solutions—conformal coating, thermal management, potting, structural bonding, underfill, encapsulant—meeting performance, regulatory and reliability standards.
- Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers, articulating H.B. Fuller’s value proposition.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards (ISO, IATF) and reliability testing requirements such as thermal cycling and vibration.
- Lead cross‑functional projects, coordinating R&D, supply chain and customer service teams across a global matrix organization.
- Utilize Salesforce and pricing tools to manage sales pipeline, forecasting and opportunity tracking.

- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical, mechanical, electronics, chemistry or marketing field; 10+ years of business development or sales experience in automotive electronics; proven new‑business hunting record; strong knowledge of automotive standards; excellent communication and problem‑solving skills; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Preferred qualifications: Advanced technical or business degree; hands‑on experience with adhesive technologies such as conformal coatings, thermal management, potting, structural bonding, underfill and encapsulation.
Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary of $136,000‑$158,000, variable incentives such as the Sales Inventive Plan, and a comprehensive benefits package featuring health and wellness programs, 401(k) contributions, paid time off and holidays.
