The technician is responsible for counting and inspecting articles to verify shipment contents against the accompanying travelers. This includes confirming that traveler documentation matches the identification on customers’ containers or products, unpacking parts, and storing empty containers neatly to prevent damage or contamination. When required, parts are prepared for processing such as vapor degreasing or hand cleaning, and each part is visually inspected for damage, quantities are verified, and acceptance is recorded by initialing the traveler.
Element is seeking an NDT FPI/MPI Inspector Trainee to join its rapidly expanding operations team. The Test Technician role involves performing both routine and non‑routine testing assignments within the assigned department while ensuring timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. Technicians must demonstrate proficiency in core business skills, including adherence to safety rules, the company code of conduct, and established policies and procedures. The position offers a salary of $20.50‑$22 per hour, dependent on experience.
Candidates must be fluent in English, able to read, write, and communicate clearly with operators, especially when issues arise. They should possess basic mathematical skills—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—to count parts and reconcile them with travelers. Strong reasoning ability is needed to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve problems with concrete variables. Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, word‑processing, and email software is also required.
The role demands the ability to lift up to 50 lb, with mechanical aids available for heavier items, and requires standing for extended periods.
