What you would be doing

  • Planning, maintaining, coordinating and monitoring construction programs and completion of activities involved in Project/s, and communicating on same with relevant stakeholders.
  • Evaluating subcontractors to ensure capacity and capability to carry out the work.
  • Informing the Project Manager on any significant SH&E, quality or other difficulties which will impact Project delivery or community relations and taking appropriate action to rectify.
  • Organising, designing and implementing temporary works and infrastructure, as required.
  • Preparing work packages, documentation and quality requirements for tender by potential subcontractors.

  • Experience developing methodologies to ensure compliance with SWTC (within area)
  • Hold or able to obtain a Government Security Clearance (must have)
  • Demonstrated commercial experience relating to planning up to 3 months ahead, development of implementation of risk treatment plans and reporting on cost, risk etc.
  • Member of Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust)or graduate member of the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) desirable.
  • Either a recognised degree in engineering discipline recognised OR other relevant tertiary qualification (TAFE or similar).
  • Previous experience as an SPE or equivalent.
