• Post customer and vendor payments and reconcile invoices
• Verify and examine payable invoices
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and tie‑outs to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Gather supporting documentation for auditor selections
• Create and distribute monthly key reports to the team and management
• Document current (“as‑is”) accounting processes and map proposed (“to‑be”) automated workflows
• Identify and document business requirements for automation projects
• Develop training materials and user guides for new processes
• Propose ideas to simplify or improve processes through technology and innovation

Requirements

BB Energy is seeking an Intern for the Accounting and Finance Team in the Houston office. The internship offers exposure to all aspects of accounting and corporate finance, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management, bank reconciliation, fixed‑asset management, general ledger and treasury, providing valuable real‑world experience.

To succeed, candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field, and have a strong interest in accounting systems, automation or process improvement. A basic understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and an analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills are required. The ideal intern is curious, adaptable and eager to learn how technology drives efficiency in finance and accounting.
