Daily responsibilities include collecting, preparing, and performing complex soil, aggregate, and rock sampling and testing, as well as producing and reviewing NATA‑compliant test reports. The technician will also lead and mentor the junior laboratory team, conduct calibration checks, and uphold laboratory quality management standards.
Candidates must hold at least a Certificate III in a geotechnical discipline or laboratory management, possess a valid driver’s licence, and be familiar with relevant Australian Standards for construction material testing. Additional requirements include a radiation licence with experience using a nuclear radiation densometer, the ability to multitask across varied projects, and readiness to complete a pre‑employment medical assessment.
