Work with upper-level engineering team members to develop custom test equipment and system integration to automate testing using LabView, ComAp, and PLC systems
Work with the group leader & Systems Engineer(s) to assist in specifying and procuring test equipment and instrumentation to increase engine testing capabilities as necessary
Develop and coordinate component or system validation testing as needed using custom PSI-developed DAQ software and instrumentation, and NVH hardware and software systems for combustion and vibration analysis
Support calibration engineers and validation engineers by supervising the test article setup, sign-off of instrumentation, correct configuration of data acquisition systems, and the execution of test plans
All other duties assigned by management, including travel to other PSI facilities
Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of PPE
Author test procedures, conduct testing, analyze data, draw conclusions, document, and present test results
Lead small projects to support the engineering team on processes and standards to improve and enhance organizational capability

Knowledge and/or experience with engine applications for the industrial, power generation, and/or on-highway industries
Exhibit ownership and initiative in troubleshooting, proactively solving design challenges, and learning new skills
Subject expertise and/or aptitude in the mechanical and electrical aspects of internal combustion engines, including engine components, accessories, and electrical systems
Demonstrated subject matter expertise with electronic control systems and DC electrical systems, capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams

Experience using ETAS, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Dewesoft, and post-processing software is preferred
Experience and/or knowledge of one or more of the following components: mounts & brackets, sheet metal, engine wire harness, clutch, isolators, hoses, cooling systems, and/or rubber belts
The ability to develop and maintain LabVIEW application software is a plus ComAp, PLC programing for system integration
