The role is responsible for overseeing and governing the Supply Chain’s Seven Step Sourcing Process, acting as the primary liaison between suppliers and business‑unit stakeholders, and managing high‑risk, complex, and high‑spend categories. The incumbent may also supervise supply staff.
Key duties include managing categories and purchases, performing spend and risk analyses, and designing mitigation strategies. The position provides governance direction to contract administrators and procurement specialists, defines and drives sourcing best practices, and leads cross‑functional teams to achieve strategic sourcing objectives. Development and implementation of category plans that incorporate spend analysis, industry trends, economic factors, and change‑management strategies are also required, along with support for business‑unit emergency response activities.
Minimum qualifications consist of a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, or a related field with at least eight years of relevant experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Candidates must demonstrate project and change management skills, deep knowledge of category and supply‑management practices, strong data‑analysis capabilities, excellent negotiation and communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder conflicts.
Preferred qualifications include expertise in the IT services and consulting category, experience with enterprise‑wide direct negotiations and strategic supplier relationship building, and a comprehensive understanding of Constellation’s supply chain and cost drivers.
