  • Act as a liaison with RTA, contractors, and consultants on environment and sustainability matters.
  • Review or negotiate energy purchase agreements.
  • Write or install energy management routines for building automation systems.
  • Collect data for energy conservation analyses, using jobsite observation, field inspections, or sub-metering.
  • Mentor junior staff such as university interns as well as staff across the wider KM organization interested in further developing their skills and knowledge in the field of Environment and Sustainability.
  • Inspect or monitor energy systems, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) or daylighting systems to determine energy use or potential energy savings.
  • Ensuring alignment between multiple stakeholders with different priorities.
  • Act as deputy to the Manager Environment and Sustainability when required.
  • Ensure all operational projects comply with ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Prepare energy-related reports or related documentation.
  • Managing complex reporting requirements across energy, environment, and sustainability.
  • Lead the Energy Efficiency & Modelling Programme.
  • Balancing compliance with innovative sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements related to energy and environmental projects.
  • Advise Keolis-MHI and RTA on topics such as climate control systems, energy modelling, data logging, sustainable design, or energy auditing.
  • Research renewable or alternative energy systems or technologies, such as solar thermal or photovoltaic energy.
  • Review architectural, mechanical, or electrical plans or specifications to evaluate energy efficiency.
  • Complete Environment Inspections at all Dubai Metro and Tram locations
  • Monitor and analyse energy consumption.
  • Deliver training and awareness programmes to staff and stakeholders.
  • Build organisational knowledge and capability in environmental management.
  • Identify and recommend energy savings strategies to achieve more energy efficient operation, including best fuel for specific sites or circumstances.
  • Manage the development, design, or construction of energy conservation projects to ensure acceptability of budgets and timelines, conformance to federal and local laws, or adherence to approved specifications.
  • Analyse, interpret, or create graphical representations of energy data, using engineering software.
  • Consult with the operations and maintenance team, construction or renovation contractors or other engineers on topics such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or Green Buildings.
  • Promote awareness or use of alternative or renewable energy sources.
  • Driving cultural change towards sustainability in a large operational organisation.
  • Direct the implementation of energy management projects.
  • Contribute to long-term sustainability projects, such as carbon management and climate change adaptation.
  • Conduct energy audits to evaluate energy use and to identify conservation and cost reduction measures.
  • Train personnel or relevant stakeholders on topics such as environment and energy management.
  • Support compliance with local, federal, and international environmental regulations.
  • Budget: Oversight of sustainability and energy-related initiatives
  • Perform energy modelling, measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro commissioning.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through energy efficiency measures.
  • Verify energy bills and meter readings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Planet strategy including Energy, Environment and Sustainability.
  • Represent Keolis-MHI in environmental and sustainability forums.
  • Monitor environmental performance indicators such as air quality, waste, and noise.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures for sustainability initiatives.
  • Actively supports and collaborate with others in QHSE, KM & contractors to deliver KM requirements.

  • Skilled in energy auditing, measurement, and verification techniques.
  • Rail - Familiarity with rail and/or transport operational networks.
  • Understanding of KM committed obligation relevant to your section & QHSE
  • Experience in interpreting local and global regulatory requirements.
  • Awareness of QHSE KPI’s relevant to your section & the role you play in efficiently delivering them
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or science, with a focus on electrical, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering.

  • Reporting and Presentation - Strong reporting and presentation preparation skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in energy efficiency and energy modelling technology, and regulatory concepts and requirements.
