You will be responsible for technical aspects of small projects or components of larger projects, meeting financial, quality and timeframe objectives while exceeding client expectations. Working collaboratively with a multi‑discipline team of Arcadians, you will ensure integration of the overall design solution. Day‑to‑day duties include preparing accurate drawings, specifications, reports and other project documentation.
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience designing mechanical systems within buildings to join our Places Design Practice. In this role you will deliver elegant and efficient mechanical design solutions on exciting projects for key clients in sectors such as industrial manufacturing, defence, and education. Our work creates smart, safe, and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive.
You will apply your analytical, technical writing and design skills at the project level and contribute to the resolution of technical issues under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. This role requires a passion for improving quality of life and strong teamwork capabilities.
Qualifications include a BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, and evidence of working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. You must have previous experience designing mechanical systems within buildings, an understanding of how individual design elements interface with the client, and awareness of budgetary requirements.
