Sales Manager - Commercial Roofing Service

Description

The Service Department Head will lead the entire service operations for a BRC branch, ensuring safety, quality control, profitability, and customer satisfaction for commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities include managing crews and subcontractors, overseeing quality standards, coordinating sales support, handling work order processing and invoicing, and driving departmental growth in line with quarterly targets.

• Provide a safe work environment for crews and subcontractors; enforce safety procedures.
• Oversee quality control, customer satisfaction, and profitability of the service department.
• Lead, interview, hire, train, and develop office and field staff.
• Coordinate sales support and manage work order setup, processing, and invoicing.
• Review aging reports, resolve issues, and drive departmental growth per quarterly targets.
• Perform physically demanding tasks: standing long periods, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lb, bending, crouching, and working in extreme temperatures.
• Work in conditions with bright or poor lighting, noise, hazardous materials, and heights; adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years roofing experience; high school diploma required, college preferred.
• Hold 30‑hour OSHA Construction card; First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne pathogen training preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and scheduling software.
• Excellent written communication and strong organizational abilities.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus; deep knowledge of BUR, shingles, tile, single‑ply, metal roofing, waterproofing, trusses, lightweight concrete decks, and related AC work.
