Key duties include architecting repeatable pipelines that cover source control, artifact repositories, continuous integration, test automation, release management, and deployment; developing infrastructure‑as‑code templates and runbooks for rapid environment setup; and defining standard operating procedures that embed security throughout the development lifecycle. The engineer will also create self‑service automation for autonomous teams, apply Lean and Agile principles to improve flow, and introduce advanced techniques such as feature toggles, canary releases, blue/green deployments, and AI‑enabled pipeline optimization.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and be able to obtain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance. Required experience includes at least seven years in software engineering, automation, or DevOps roles, with five years focused on building and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices in enterprise settings. Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline), IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM), container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), security scanning tools, and test automation frameworks is essential, as is the ability to travel up to 25% and be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred qualifications include an active Public Trust or Suitability, a Master’s degree, security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, and experience with AI‑driven DevOps practices. Familiarity with public‑sector compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST) and a background in highly regulated industries like healthcare, finance, or energy are also advantageous.
The position offers a salary range of $149,000 to $248,000, dependent on experience, skills, and certifications, along with a comprehensive total rewards package. Benefits encompass medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage; paid time off, holidays, parental leave; 401(k) retirement plan; life and disability insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; transit benefits; tuition reimbursement; and a discretionary variable incentive bonus.
