You will lead and direct the Project team in the administration of the PMO and Project Controls process, particularly with respect to the cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting to achieve key objectives and the escalation of performance and management issues.

You will be a leading advocate of Mace's value of safety first, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, schedule, sustainability and project compliance standards.
You will manage and direct clients, consultants, contractors, project team on all PMO and Project Controls management matters.
You will support the operations director and other senior stakeholders to directly influence the long-term development of strategy for a function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.
You will innovate and align with industry best practice to ensure continued service excellence.
You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.
You will utilize expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of junior members of the PMO and Project Control team.
You will lead and direct periodic reporting and structured governance and performance meetings.
You will support the Hub PMO and Project Control Director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
You will lead your team effectively and develop others to reach their full potential.
You will create/design effective PMO and Project Controls framework/strategies.
You will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, up to C-Suite, to implement and manage our programs.
You will provide line management to more junior PMO and Project Controls resources and other Project/Program staff as required.
You will lead the delivery of a high performing PMO and Project Control team on the assigned commission.
You will ensure all activities/operations are carried out in line with Mace Control Centre, Client requirements and prevailing legislation.
You will work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You will lead and direct the development and management of the Baseline (scope, time, cost, risk, assumptions) and the subsequent delivery performance, change and contingency monitoring including the delivery of Quantitative Risk Analysis (cost and time).
You will act as the PMO and Project Controls Subject Matter Expert on assigned projects, programs, and portfolios.
You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilizing the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centers of excellence, Mace way control center and knowledge hub.

Practical knowledge/application and understanding of the opportunities related to data analytics and intelligent reporting, Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
Significant experience of effective PMO and Project Controls leadership on significant construction projects and within management consultancies.
Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
Growth mindset that promotes curiosity, high quality contribution and team collaboration, sharing of best practice and lessons learnt between teams.
You will possess advanced technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Significant experience as a PMO Manager/Leader within a large PMO.
Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
Strong knowledge of and connectivity to the construction markets to leverage best practices and provide opportunities for innovation and success.
Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
Expert knowledge of PMO and Project Controls tools, techniques and software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with key stakeholders and senior leadership
Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
Significant experience of setting up effective PMO and Project Controls management/assurance frameworks/strategies.
Effective appraisal/analytical skills to support skilled negotiations, problem solving, or conflict resolution.
