Material Manager - Electrical Transmission

• Maintaining detailed records of all transactions and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborating with other operating units to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sources for goods and materials.
• Addressing material discrepancies or questions with customers and obtaining amended pricing from suppliers as needed.
• Reviewing project material requirements and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
• Tracking and managing lead times and delivery schedules for all material purchases.
• Resolving any material-related issues with customers and suppliers.
• Maintaining detailed records of all submittals, orders, deliveries, and related documentation.
• Overseeing material deliveries at the marshaling yard and ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
• Monitoring delivery schedules and addressing any delays or discrepancies.
• Coordinating with field leadership and suppliers to manage inventory effectively.
• Overseeing all deliveries and working with the marshaling yard crew to unload, inventory, and store materials.
• Managing the procurement of all transmission and substation materials, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiating terms and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Negotiating pricing and delivery terms with suppliers to optimize costs.
• Collaborating with field leadership to assess inventory levels and adjust orders as needed.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Manager T&D to join our team in Syracuse. This role is integral to the success of our operations, as you will oversee the negotiation, procurement, and inventory management of all materials required for our transmission and substation projects. This position is primarily onsite, with approximately 75% of your time spent at project locations.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 (based on experience level)
