As Project Director, you will manage all stages of hyperscale data centre construction, guiding projects through pre‑construction, construction, and close‑out/fit‑up phases. This includes overseeing schedule, budget, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communication throughout the lifecycle.
During pre‑construction you will work with the client and general contractor to create the master project schedule and budget, support contractor pre‑qualification, bid solicitation, analysis, and contract negotiations, and assist the client in scoping, procuring, and scheduling owner‑direct vendors and consultants.
In the construction phase you will manage the general contractor and directly contracted vendors on‑site, coordinate value‑engineering efforts, develop budget management and tracking with the client’s commercial team, and liaise with the schedule management team to monitor and analyse progress.
For close‑out and fit‑up you will initiate the close‑out process two to three months before project completion, establish documentation requirements, collect warranties, as‑builts and O&M manuals, support final city or authority inspections, and manage the coordination of owner‑direct vendors and consultants.
The role is for an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of one of Arcadis’ biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics. The successful candidate will be based either fully in‑country or will travel internationally on an 11/3 rotation schedule.
The ideal candidate shares a passion for improving quality of life, possesses deep technical knowledge of large‑scale projects and construction techniques, and has experience on data centre new‑build or refurbishment projects, especially hyperscale builds. Ability to manage technical disciplines, coordinate multidisciplinary owner‑representative teams, and commit to significant international travel are essential.
