The Technician Fabricator (Drill Bits) role supports production by accurately measuring, interpreting technical drawings, and fabricating components to specification. The position demands precision, attention to detail, and safe hands‑on work.
Key duties include using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, reading engineering drawings, specifications, routers, and bills of materials, and applying basic math for fabrication tasks. The technician also performs fabrication to meet product specs, operates a forklift, lifts up to 50 lb safely, and communicates with team members and supervisors to ensure quality and efficiency.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have machining experience, ideally at a trainee level with a willingness to learn. Strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, comfort in a physically active environment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and detail are required.
