Environmental, Health & Safety: Ensure all EHS policies, regulations, and standard processes are followed by the Quality organization.
Assume the responsibility to achieve and retain ISO 9001 certification for the site for the first time.
Manage the daily needs of the facility including, customer complaints, FPY, testing, Supplier quality, training, etc.
Maintain a system of recording nonconformance including regular analysis to find opportunities for quality improvement.
Assume responsibility for all aspects of Quality at the Oregon, WI site.
Foster continuous improvement initiatives.
Design, develop, and deliver quality education/training programs and materials as needed.
Actively participate with the Oregon Leadership Team.
Maintain and report regularly the site Quality metrics.
Maintain and improve site quality systems to align with Systems Protection’s QMS and ISO certifications.
Be responsible for Internal Quality (Quality at the Source), in alignment with nVent QMS.
Build a strong and capable team, improving over time to meet our strategic goals.
Participate in daily Gemba Walks and other operational reviews for the Oregon site.
Support warranty and reliability policies and procedures to assure customer complaints are resolved quickly and effectively.
Oversee supplier quality program, including supplier approval and assessment process.
Lead and/or support process improvement within the site using our Lean methods.
Manage successful customer audits including corrective actions as the need arises.
Directly supervise site quality resources including Quality Engineers & Technicians.
Interact with key suppliers to assure the nVent requirements are consistently met.
Oversee the budget for the quality department.
Use formal processes and advanced approaches to prevent defects at the source.
Actively support and collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and other departments.
Provide professional customer interface as needed as a champion of world-class customer satisfaction.
Maintain customer CAPA process using sophisticated methods such as 8D RCCM, 5 why, quality alerts, etc. Maintain CAPA log including data retention and analysis.

Innovative & adaptable
Ideally, experience achieving and retaining ISO 9001 certification in a manufacturing setting of similar size and scope.
Demonstrated success in leading a technical team, preferably in relevant industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or other Engineering field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in establishing Statistical Process Controls, process control plans and inspection criteria based on product requirements and FMEA output.
Respectful and team oriented
5+ years of progressive and relevant quality and/or engineering leadership experience in manufacturing including management of a plant site QMS.
