SPA HSW Advisor

Description

The advisor will carry out health and safety site visits, provide advice during project rehearsals and fit‑for‑assembly meetings, and lead or contribute to incident investigations. They will also deliver training and briefings such as the AW passport to work, LIFE orientations and SMS sessions for staff across the project.

• Conduct H&S site visits, inspections, advisory tours, and record findings in M2i.
• Provide H&S advice at project rehearsals and fit‑for‑assembly meetings.
• Lead or support incident investigations, gather evidence, interview witnesses, and produce reports per Alliance HSEMS.
• Deliver AW passport to work, LIFE orientations, SMS training and briefings to staff.
• Communicate effectively, present and write reports, and liaise with staff at all levels.
• Join a project creating ~500 km of pipelines, collaborating with partners Costain, Farrans, Jacobs, Mott MacDonald Bentley.

Requirements

Candidates must have recent construction or utilities experience, a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, IOSH Technician (or higher) membership and a CSCS Safety Professional card. Strong communication, presentation and report‑writing abilities, the capacity to engage with staff at all levels, and proficiency in MS Office are also essential.

• Hold NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent and IOSH Technician membership (or higher).
• Hold a CSCS Safety Professional card.
• Analyze detailed information and regulations; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
