Lead capital improvement projects and innovation at Wilmington wastewater plant
Field Troubleshooting & Solutions — Work directly with Jacobs operations and maintenance staff to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
Design Team Collaboration — Work with off-site Jacobs design teams on planning, execution, and closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and project delivery standards.
Site Assessments & Capital Planning — Perform periodic updates to site condition assessments and contribute to long-term capital planning.
Innovation Workshop Leadership — Lead a workshop focused on generating innovative ideas for the Wilmington Wastewater Treatment Plant, based on current conditions, regulatory requirements, and future pipeline planning. This includes coordinating with subject matter experts to present on relevant topics and contribute to actionable solutions.
Scope & Budget Development — Develop out-of-scope documents and implementation plans, including scope definition, scheduling, and budgeting, with coordination across funding sources and regulatory agencies.
Capital Improvement Project Management — Manage the site's capital improvements team and serve as the owner’s representative and operations interface for capital projects.
Communication & Coordination — Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders—including contractors, designers, and clients—to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the capital program
Problem-Solving — Proactively identify and resolve issues that arise during capital and major maintenance projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Change Order & Client Reporting — Prepare and review change orders, and provide regular updates to the Client.
Major Maintenance Oversight — Manage design, procurement, and construction for equipment renewal and replacement projects.

Strong communication skills, including technical writing and presentations.
Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Professional Engineering (PE) license in Delaware, or ability to obtain within the first few months of hire.
BS degree in an engineering discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of experience serving municipal water and wastewater clients across planning, design, and construction services.
Experience leading projects or tasks, including schedule and budget tracking, and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
Minimum of 5 years managing engineering teams in client-facing environments, with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and lead beyond task execution.
Experience in wastewater plant design and construction.
