Inspection and testing of fire pumps including annual full-flow functional testing.
Inspection and testing of wet pipe fire sprinkler systems.
Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
Inspection and testing of fire extinguishers.
Completion of the NFPA report forms associated with the various systems being inspected using a handheld mobile device.
Inspection and testing of fire alarm and detection systems.
Inspection and testing of "special" fire sprinkler systems such as pre-action, dry pipe, and foam. This will include "trip" testing and re-setting of special system valves and associated devices.

Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
Experience in Fire Protection/Life Safety industry preferred.
All candidates offered a position must successfully pass pre-employment drug and background screens.
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
Able to meet all physical requirements.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and clean Department of Motor Vehicles report.
NICET Certification preferred.
Must have all required hand tools.
Knowledge of functions associated with testing of fire alarms, access control, and security systems preferred.
Thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying NFPA Code to inspection testing and maintenance of fire protection equipment.
Must have the ability to work on ladders and lift equipment.
Experience with fire detection systems including VESDA, FM200 and other gas extinguishing systems preferred.
